Allergic to white flour and yeast? Missing bread? Well If so, I totally understand you!
Bread is one of the things I miss the most since I have discovered my food allergies BUT, I have tried this alternative recipe myself and it is not bad at all!
This recipe is yeast and white flour free so you should expect the bread to be a bit harder than the normal one.
What You need to prepare your whole grain bread:
- 200/250 gr of wholemeal flour
- extra virgin olive oil
- a medium size potato
- green pitted olives
- 1 table spoon of bicarbonate
Boil the potato (this ingredient helps to obtain a softer bread) in hot water until it falls apart, mix it with the wholemeal flour, the olives, the water and the extra virgin olive oil.
Once the mixture is homogeneous, cover it and leave it to rest for at least 1 hour.
Spread the dough evenly and place it on a baking tray, cook it in the oven for 35/40 minutes at 200 degrees.
Consume it warm or cold and don’t worry, it will taste even better the day after even if you leave it out of the fridge!
